4.4 HIV/AIDS and Influenza
HIV/AIDS has been a major epidemic with a strong impact on social and
economic of the country. Figures from the Ministry of Public Health, where the
new cases admitted to the hospital of each year have been compiled, showed
that the AIDS Morbidity rate was likely to decline significantly from 14.8 persons
per 100,000 population in 2009 to 1.9 persons per 100,000 population in 2012.

Influenza is currently widespread quickly and becoming more dangerous
than in the past, various types of virus, which cause severe symptom in Influenza,
have been explored.
Influenza is a vital infection that affecting mainly the nose, throat, bronchi and
lungs. Most infected people would recover within one to two weeks without
requiring medical treatment. However, for the very young people, the elderly, and
those with other serious health conditions, infection can lead to severe
complications of the underlying condition, pneumonia and death.
From the report, it was found that the number of patients with Influenza
was rather high in 2010, of about 181 persons per 100,000, however it decreased
to 97 persons in 2012.
