5.1.3 Housing
The government has set up the policy on housing development,
which is part of social welfare for some vulnerable groups with low income and
not being able to own a house. Over the past thirty eight years, National Housing
Authority constructed different types of dwellings and improved many slums. All
construction and improvement activities during this period totaled 705,441 units
completed by September 2012, such as, community housing project, with the
total of 141,465 units, project to solve housing problems for the low income
(Baan Eua-Arthorn Project) with the total of 272,256 units etc.
