5.2.1 Violence against Women and Children
Violence against women and children is a complex issue and has
a strong impact on society as a whole. Many women and children suffer
from various forms of violence, e.g. physical, emotional and sexual within
the family, at home, at school, in the workplace and public places. Many
organizations both public and private sectors put their efforts to reduce and
prevent violence from women and children but the problems have still
increased. Figures from Ministry of Public Health, the women and children
were faced with some forms of violence, on average 32 cases per day in
2005 increased to 62 cases in 2011.
