Natural Resources and Environment Statistics
Natural resources and environment statistics presented in this chapter were obtained from the
Pollution Control Department, National park, Wildlife and plant conservation Department, Ministry of
Natural Resources and Environment, the Royal Irrigation Department and the Department of Land
Development, Ministry of Agriculture and Co-operatives and Department of Alternative Energy
Development and Efficiency, Ministry of Energy.
Natural Resources
Its
statistics consisted of data on soil, water, forestry and mineral resources
of which are being utilized by human. As utilization of certain natural resource would have an effect on
other resources, therefore, the natural resources should be ecologically manged for sustainable
development.
Environment
Its statistics contains data on changed climatic conditions, pollution such as
water, air, soil, etc. In general, everybody wishes to enjoy good environment, fresh air, good food and
clean water. In present situation, the fact that population has increased an advanced technology
together with have brought rapid change in environment.
