Liquor or alcoholic beverage means the beverages having an ingredient of alcohol, such as Thai
liquors: Makhong, Sangthip, Hongthong; local liquor such as the white spirit at 28 degree ; white liquor;
traditional liquors: Kra Chae, Sa to and the others, namely brandy, wine ,whisky, beer, and etc,
Statistics on Population’s Behavior on Health Care (or food consumption behavior); the
National Statistical Office conducts survey on Population’s Behavior on Health Care, covering population
aged 6 years and over in all provinces throughout the country. The objective of this survey is to collect data
concerning behavior of population on health care, nutrition, including behavior of choosing food; these
behaviors reflect health status of the population.
Statistics on Physical Activity: National Statistical Office first conducted the survey on
Population’s Behavior in Physical Activity in 2001 and the fourth one was in 2011, to collect data from
sampled person, with 11 years of age and over in whole country in March 2011. Data presented were
number and characteristics of population’s behavior in physical activities at country level.
Physical activity refers to any kinds of body’s movement for a better support of good health,
enjoyment, and for social. Physical activity may be simple activity or with simple rules for competition, such
as walking, weighting etc. except for any kinds of movement in daily life and in work.
Statistics on mental health of Thai people were compiled by National Statistical Office by
surveying Thai people aged 15 years and over, in order to collect data on mental health of Thai people from
time to time according to economic situation.
Mental health of Thai people can be classified into 3 levels, derived from 15 questions concerning
Thai people’s mental health, (that was developed from complete edition of 54 items by Department of
Mental Health). Each question has score ranging from 0 to 3. The total score of this set is 45.
Results were interpreted into 3 levels as follows:
Score 0 - 27.00 = mental health condition: Lower than average
Score 27.01 – 34.00. = mental health condition: At average
Score 34.01 – 45.00 = mental health condition: Higher than average
